Applications that were viewed by Apple App Store saw an increase of up to 800% in downloads
The dream for iOS app developers everywhere has been to access a premium location on one of the featured App Store lists. But it’s not just about the audited rights that these developers might win – it could also be a big increase in downloads.
According to a new report by the Sensor Tower, applications on the App Store – especially “Today’s Application” or “Game of the Day” – can increase downloads by as much as 800 percent.
The data seems to support Apple’s claim that its new iOS 11 store, which first appeared in September, will increase the number of viewers for developers and also help customers discover new and exciting apps.
When conducting a recent study, the sensor looked at the data from September 2017 to the present day. “Game of the Day” applications saw an 802% increase in downloads compared to the previous week (before appearing). On the other hand, today’s applications have gained 685 percent.
Although these two sites offer the best offer, their appearance in the apps list resulted in higher downloads of 222 percent and 240 percent, respectively. Apple seems to have implemented its promise to help both creators and consumers with the redesigned app store
IOS 11 App Store offers a highly structured application; not only does it show potential customers what apps are most popular in terms of downloads, but it also shows off what Apple itself thinks is better or should be among applications. App Store now offers a range of apps, theme groups, articles about specific apps, and interviews with their developers.
However, it seems that the apps that Apple chooses to distinguish are still those that are likely to have ended up in large downloads anyway. In fact, Sensor Tower found that 13 of the top 15 premium developers already have at least 1 million downloads in the US iPhone since the launch of the new App Store.
However, it is not just the developers who get the spotlight. The Sensor tower indicates that about 29% of applications that were viewed in the App Store had fewer than 10,000 downloads since the new App Store was launched.
